Reserving Your Field Trip Experience

Field Trip Experiences are available year-round Monday through Friday during Museum hours, 10am-5pm.

Note: some galleries are closed periodically for exhibition installation and the Chadwick Studio is open seasonally (April-October).

The current Field Trip Experiences require approximately 2-1/2 hours and feature a Museum welcome (10 minutes), a tour of the historic Griswold House (30 minutes), a tour/learning-to-look game in the Krieble Gallery (30 minutes), and a hands-on painting project (60 minutes), travel time between activities (10 minutes), and clean-up of art project (10 minutes). Your class will be divided into smaller touring groups and rotate between the activities.

Field Trip Experiences are $7 per student. There is no charge for teachers and adult chaperones (one for every 15 students). Additional adults are $7 each.

Please complete the Request Form below to schedule a Field Trip Experience at the Florence Griswold Museum. You can also book by phone by contacting the Museum’s education office at (860) 434-5542, ext. 115. Checks for entire group are due the day of the trip and should be made payable to “Florence Griswold Museum.”

Field Trip Experiences need to be reserved at least 2 weeks prior to the day you would like to visit. Please have a second or third choice in mind in the case that your first choice is not available.

The Museum will send you a Field Trip Experiences confirmation form several days after your reservation is made. Please contact the Museum's Education Department at (860) 434-5542, ext. 115 or david@flogris.org if you do not receive confirmation within a week of your visit.
