ArtVenture Camps 2008
The Museum’s week-long camps are for children of all skill levels who are interested in the visual arts. Participants explore the art and history of the Florence Griswold Museum, while painting en plein air along the banks of the Lieutenant River, sketching with pastels in the historic gardens, and touring the restored Griswold House.
In addition, campers also investgate two new exhibitions in the Krieble Gallery, Impressionist Giverny: American Painters in France, 1885-1915 and Warm Winds: Connecticut Artists in the Tropics. These shows are the perfect arena for interactive gallery activities that enhance the campers’ literacy through visual thinking strategies.
Camps include a free t-shirt, all materials, daily snacks, and more.
